The Spa Hotel has been renovated

With more than HUF 100 million in tender funds and a HUF 60 million contribution from the municipality, the municipality-owned Spa Hotel in Zalakaros has been renovated.

The renewed facility was inaugurated by Jenő Manninger, Member of Parliament of the region, Ferenc Novák, Mayor of Zalakaros, Judit Czirákiné Pakulár, Deputy Mayor of Zalakaros responsible for tourism, and László Cziráki, CEO of Zalakaros Spa Ltd. The facility was blessed by Dr. László Háda, parish priest, and Ferenc Hella, Reformed pastor.

At the opening ceremony on Thursday, László Cziráki, the general manager of the Zalakaros Spa, which operates the three-star hotel, said that the government provided more than 100 million HUF for the renovation through the Kisfaludy programme.

The renovation of the 22-room, 55-room hotel included repainting the façade and interiors, remodelling the bathrooms and replacing the lobby tiles. The rooms have been renovated, not only with new floors but also with new furniture, and the hotel kitchen has been modernised. The car park has been made accessible and a solar charger has been installed.

The CEO said that with this year's investments, such as the already renovated spa centre and the new sauna world under construction, the spa will be a year of renewal. Continuing the implementation of their seven-year development plans adopted last year, they plan to build a youth hostel and a car camping site in Zalakaros next year.
