Recognitions for the Zalakaros Spa

The doctors, nurses and health care workers of the hospital in Kanizsa were thanked and acknowledged for their sacrifice and dedication, and the newly founded “For the Spa of Zalakaros Spa” awards were presented by László Cziráki, CEO of Zalakaros Spa Ltd., to two employees of the spa and representatives of its strategic partner. Dr. Zsuzsanna Vass, the outgoing rheumatologist specialist of the spa for her decades of work, and Lászlóné Köves, the assistant physiotherapist of the spa's physiotherapy department and the oldest employee of the spa, received the award for their outstanding professional activity.

One of the most important strategic partners of the Zalakaros Spa is the 250-year-old Dorottya Hospital of Kanizsa. László Cziráki thanked Dr. Szilveszter Brünner, Director General, and Dr. Mária Fliszár, Head of the Department of Musculoskeletal and Rehabilitation Medicine, for their uninterrupted professional support to Zalakaros Spa.

In his welcome speech, the CEO emphasized that a significant part of the operation of the Dorottya Hospital of Kanizsa is the Department of Musculoskeletal and Rehabilitation, which has been closely linked to the operation of the Zalakaros Spa for more than 50 years, and highlighted that the two organizations have excellent professional and human relations.

Zalakaros Spa has declared 2019 the Year of Health, paying special attention to the promotion of health protection and rehabilitation. Zsuzsi Laky, the Beauty of Europe, the Health Ambassador of Zalakaros Spa, represented the facility at the event.

The CEO thanked them for their work with a quotation from Dr. Zoltán Zsebők, Kossuth Prize-winning physician, radiologist, university professor and one of the most outstanding figures of 20th century healthcare. „In the activity of a doctor, in medicine, there is a factor that cannot be learned, that has no name, only an effect, and therefore medicine is not only a science, but also an art.”

At the ceremony, Péter Cseresnyés, Deputy Minister and Member of Parliament, said: "The work, dedication and perseverance of Ignác Semmelweis are an example for today's innovators. For those who not only work according to a daily routine, but try to do their job better every day. This is also true in healthcare, where there are no routines, true, certain protocols have to be followed in medicine. One more very important factor is needed: human attention, dedication, service," the politician stressed.

Besides the awards, the Semmelweis Day gathering was also about relaxation, with the Zalakaros Spa team competing in the informal afternoon cooking competition with a medicinal goulash. -

The reason for this is that we would like to pay tribute to the 250 years of the past, as goulash soup - which has since become a Hungaricum - was introduced into public consciousness 250 years ago, when it became the identity of the Hungarian people.
