Transdanubian Spa Tour - Common discount scheme in Zalakaros, Bük and Sárvár

The cooperation was announced at a press conference held in the relaxation area of Bükfürdő Thermal & Spa by Attila László Boros, CEO of Bük Spa Ltd., Tibor Vojtkó, Director of Sárvár Spa Ltd. and László Cziráki, CEO of Zalakaros Spa Ltd. and President of the Zalakaros Tourism Association.

At the press conference, it was said that the three spa managers maintain good relations with each other on a day-to-day basis and they consider it important to jointly promote the thermal region through this cooperation. The idea behind the programme, called the „Transdanubian Spa Tour”, is that guests spending their leisure time in the region will receive a stamp in return for buying a full-price day ticket including a spa and sauna at each of the three spas. If the collector's booklet contains a stamp from all three spas, the owner is entitled to a 50% discount on the next ticket purchase at the spa of his choice.

The initiative was also welcomed by the mayors of the three towns, Dr. Sándor Németh, Mayor of Bük, István Kondora, Mayor of Sárvár and Ferenc Novák, Mayor of Zalakaros, confirmed that the cooperation will definitely strengthen the destination objectives.

In 2017, 71% of all overnight stays in Hungary were spent in settlements with a spa of tourist interest, and these 3 settlements together account for 2 million overnight stays per year.

Péter Ágh, Member of Parliament, said that the most attractive region in Transdanubia after Lake Balaton is Western Transdanubia, thanks to Bükfürdő, Sárvár and Zalakaros. He stressed that this cooperation will be a kind of doorstep for visitors coming to Vas and Zala counties.

The „Transdanubian Bathing Tour” stamp collection will run from 1 June to 31 August 2019, and stamps can be redeemed between 1 September and 23 December 2019. The collection booklets are available at the cash desks of all three spas.
