Zalakaros, as a tourist centre and spa town known for its world-famous thermal waters, chose water as the central motif for the drawing competition.
Children from six municipalities can compete: the institutions of Zalakaros, Galambok, Zalakomár, Zalaszabar, Miháld and Nagyrécse and Csapi have joined the programme. There are five age groups: large groups of kindergarten children from the region and pupils from primary schools in grades 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8.
Children can create their works using any technique they like. An exhibition will be held at the Zalakaros Spa on 22 March 2019, World Water Day, at the venue of the exhibition, where the results of the drawing competition will be announced and the award ceremony will take place. The winners of the competition will receive valuable prizes.

László Cziráki emphasized that as the head of a professionally and economically successful company, it is essential to promote social cooperation, as a result of which the aim is to increase civic activity.The spa intends to develop even closer cooperation with the cultural and educational sector in parallel with the already announced “Year of Health 2019” programme, which is based on the unique water of the city.
The aim is to involve local people and students in various water, health and physical activity programmes and activities. The CEO added that the first element of this cooperation is the recently launched drawing competition, where entries are welcome.
The choice of theme is left to the children's creativity, they are given a quasi-creative freedom, and the choice of the implementation is also left to them. The deadline is 14 March 2019 and the artwork can be handed in to the class teacher at school.
